My Journey
I have always loved teaching and animals, and dog training has allowed me to combine my two passions by helping teach people how to work with their dogs.
I graduated from Hood College in 2014 with a Secondary Education degree and taught middle and high school while I worked at vet offices and shelters part time. I went back to school and earned a Veterinary Assistant Certification with the goal of pursuing the medical side of animal care, but fell in love with teaching people how to care for their animals. This turned into a career as a certified PetSmart Dog Trainer before I decided I wanted to work with dogs who might have trouble in that type of setting, so I became a one-on-one dog trainer that gets to travel around the county to help improve the relationships and skills of dogs and their humans.
I regularly attend seminars focusing on reactivity and anxiety in dogs, and have recently graduated from CATCH Canine Trainers Academy to help make sure I have the most up-to-date training methods.
