• At your house. Eventually, we may move to a park or other location, but we start training where they are the most comfortable and able to learn.

  • I use positive reinforcement training. This means using treats primarily to reward your dog for what we want them to do. We also use treats as a lure to help get your dog to do the cue initially.

I do not use any corrections, punishment, or training collars.

  • We break down those triggers into smaller portions and use counterconditioning and desensitization to help them learn that this hard thing is not scary anymore. We do this from a safe distance and can move closer as we progress.

  • We analyze what is going on: are there too many distractions, are we asking something too hard, etc. and then reset with any adjustments needed and try again.

  • Training sessions are an hour long, once a week. Each training session starts at $90 and can go up from there depending on where you are located. The cost includes post-session notes, homework, and resources.
